The fact, briefly: Kubuntu, the KDE version of ubuntu, releases an updated version of 8.04, which still features KDE 3.5, since 8.10 sports KDE 4.2, which is not suitable, at least not on a production machine, to many KDE users.
Well, it had to happen. Let's face it, KDE 4.2 is great, and full of powerful features. So what's wrong with that? That nobody wants to learn from the start how to use and configure their system. And we're living an age where new interface features must be completely intuitive, or must be not.
I hope this doesn't begin a fork, but more a series of adjustments on the KDE 4.x series. In the hope that in six months or so we have a KDE 4.x that people actually wants to use.
